The HYERBAUM project (HYPERBAUM stands for HYPERvalent Targeting of BAUMannii) aims to develop new therapeutic or molecular targeting strategies against Acinetobacter baumannii, an opportunistic pathogenic bacterium that is highly resistant to traditional antibiotics and classified as a critical priority by the World Health Organization (WHO). This is a collaborative effort involving leading research teams from the University of Nantes, notably Frédéric Pecorari as the principal investigator at the INCIT laboratory (Inserm UMR 1302), in partnership with Karine Bernardeau from the UMS BIOCORE platform.
